Three things to know before heading to the Waste Management Phoenix Open

The Waste Management Phoenix Open is a fun filled week of a little bit of golf and a whole lot of party. Here are three things to know before you go.

1. Switch to the right bag. Before heading out check out the WMPO website to see the exact guidelines of what is allowed on the course. The rules are pretty strict and there are metal detectors and plenty of security out front.

2. Get a wristband. Underage drinkers need not apply. ID’s are checked at designated tables set up throughout the tournament. Legal drinkers will get a wrist band. The color does change every day, so there is no one and done policy. The one by the Food Pavilion is busy, but the one by hole 10 is usually pretty calm. Even if you haven’t been carded in 30 years, they will turn business away without a wristband.

3. Get a driver. Uber has a designated stand right outside the entrance. It’s a little confusing, but still better than a DUI. Other places offer free shuttles, Talking Stick Resort and Zips, so even if the ride is further away from the green the chances of getting a ride are pretty awesome.

Stay safe and enjoy the party!
